A Rainy Week !!

Happy Friday !!

Hope you all had a nice week.

It rained allllllllll week here !! So we did lots of indoor activities.

On Monday we went to the book shop to have a browse and i spotted a pack of "Disney Princess Trading Cards" they were only a €1 so i picked them up a pack each to play with.  When we got home they both sat at the table for hours just looking through the cards and swapping them back and forth!

On Tuesday we went to the local Gymnastics Centre where they hold a toddler class.  The girls absolutely love it, because they can run and jump around like crazy!  The teacher sets up obstacle courses with all the soft mats, and the older of my two girls loves to do tumbles down the slope mats.

On Wednesday morning we went to another toddler club, which is just held in a local hall.  There was lots of toys there and because they were "new" to the girls they were in their element! There was tea and scones for the adults and fairy cakes for the kiddies. 

Thursday was such a bad rainy day i couldn't face leaving the house at all! So we made a "house" under the table with blankets as the walls! They loved it and stayed in there for hours! 

We then did finger painting in the afternoon.  I had lots of paper plates left over from al our halloween crafts so i decided to put the paint onto one each for them to use.  After my older girl had finished her picture on her piece of paper she then used her finger to create a pattern in the paint left on her plate. I thought it was so amazing i had to hang it up afterwards! 

Today was another rainy day but we ventured out to the library this morning. We go to the library each week and get new books out, which is always very exciting for the girls.  They have a story telling hour once a week on Thursdays, but it clashes with our nap time so we only sometimes make it.  Today we got out 5 new books and read them all before nap time !  

So that was our busy but rainy week !

Happy Halloweeeeeeeeen !!!

A very Happy Halloween to you all!  I hope the weather isn't too bad where you are! Its heavily raining here unfortunately but hopefully it'll dry up a bit later on for all the trick or treaters!!

It's been a very crafty week here as we've been preparing for Halloween ! We have made lots of fun decorations to hang on the windows, and today we baked Halloween cupcakes !

These are our paper plate witches and pumpkins!

These are cotton wool fluffy ghosts!!!!

And this is a paper plate ghost with tissue paper tails!!

We also did sponge painting to decorate these witches and spiders! 

So today we took a break from the arts and crafts and we baked these cupcakes! Obviously there was more than 2 but i chose the neatest 2 to take pictures of!! 

Thats what we busied ourselves with this week !!

Happy Thursday Everyone!

What wonderful Autumn weather we're having lately, chilly enough to put on our snuggly jackets but dry outside so we can go on lovely leaf chasing hunts!

There's a forest just up the road from us, and during the summer we spent many days of the week up there, and I'm glad that now Autumn is here we're still getting the chance to enjoy its beauty!

Yesterday we went for a lovely walk on one of the looped paths, and we collected leaves along our way ! I was going to let the children stick the leaves onto a plain page when we got home....  But it was quite late already at that point and they were hungry and tired, so i fed them and put them down for their nap.... ( They both have a 2 hour nap during the day)

I washed the leaves in the sink and left them to dry on kitchen towel....

While they were sleeping i decided to make an "Autumn Tree" picture for them both to stick their leaves on to! While we were on our walk we were discussing the seasons and I explained about the leaves turning brown etc. So i thought it would be fun for them to stick their leaves onto their Autumn Trees, to recreate what we had seen in the forest, some leaves will be on the floor, some floating down and others still on the branches!

They loved the idea and had great fun glueing the leaves !!

Hi everyone! 

Welcome to my blog! 

Im a 28 year old nanny.  I've been a nanny for many years and absolutely love what I do.  

At the moment I am a nanny 5 days a week to two little girls, aged 2 and a half and 16 months.  I love them like they are my own and we do lots of fun things each day that I have decided to share on this blog!
